As future healthcare professionals, the college expects the students to maintain high standards of discipline and ideal behaviour to keep up the utmost reputation of our institution.
- All the students must follow the disciplinary policies and regulations as framed by the Institute, Govt. of Karnataka, National commission for Indian System of Medicine & Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences from time to time.
- Students are expected to maintain the best behaviour and discipline both in & out of the college.
- Students should abide by the instructions of all the faculty members with due respect.
- Students must be regular and punctual to lectures, demonstrations, seminars, practical’s, field work and other academic activities.
- Students must wear Apron and Identity card during college hours without fail, if not will lead to strict disciplinary action.
- In case of absence of student, an application must be presented to the class co-ordinator and Principal stating the valid reason of absence.
- No student shall enter and leave the class without the permission of the faculty member.
- Students are strictly prohibited from loitering in the corridors and campus during working hours.
- Student should make use of facilities like library, indoor games and seek academic assistance from faculty members during free hours and utilise the time meaningfully.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited both in & outside the campus. Any student found indulging in ragging is liable to imprisonment for a term or with fine as stipulated therein.
- No student shall take part or involve himself/herself in any political movements and organise or attend meetings other than the official ones both in & outside the campus during the entire course duration.
- Student shall not collect money for any purpose without the permission of the Principal.
- Boys must be dressed in neat and clean formals with clean shave. Jeans and T-shirts are strictly not allowed and wearing formal shoes is compulsory.
- Girls must wear decent attire preferably churidar or salwar kameez with dupatta. Western attires like jeans, tank tops, jeggings etc are strictly not allowed.
- Each student should maintain a cordial relationship with other students for creating a congenial atmosphere within the campus, if not strict action will be taken.
- Students are solely responsible of their personal belongings and if lost, management is not held responsible.
- Cell-phones are strictly prohibited in classrooms, labs and examination halls. Any violation will lead to call for strict disciplinary action like seizing of cell-phone and will attract penalty.
- Student shall handle the college property with utmost care and concern. He/She should refrain from disfiguring walls, furniture and other objectionable practices like breakage of any instruments, models of respective departments. Any damage or loss of the same will be recovered from the concerned student.
- Smoking, chewing any substance and consumption of alcoholic drink is strictly forbidden inside college campus and hostel.
- Fee should be deposited within the prescribed time and any delay may lead to the imposition of fine.
- In case of dispute on any matter, the decision of management authority would be final and abiding.
LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS
- Each student will be issued a Library Card after his/her successful admission to the course.
- Library books will be issued only for reference with a time limit of 7 days. Failing to return the books on or before due date, the student will be charged with a penalty of Rs. 10/-per day.
- Students should preserve their library card till the completion of the course. After completion of their course, they have to submit the library card in Accounts Office to get their NO DUES certificate.
- Only two books will be issued at a time against one card.
- Any type of malpractice such as tearing out pages, writing remarks on the library books will be punishable.
- Misbehaving in the library is strictly prohibited. Students should maintain a calm and quiet environment in the library.
- Books issued in one student’s name will not be transferred to any other student’s name.
VACATION & LEAVE POLICY
- In one academic year, the students will be provided with 4-5 weeks of vacation and 15 days preparatory leave for university examination.
- Before taking any leave the students should inform and get prior permission from the concerned authority.
- In case of any emergency, it is mandatory to inform the concerned authority and submit the leave application on the next day.
- No candidate shall be allowed to attend the exams if he/she lacks to attend 80% of theory classes and 100% of practical’s/clinical postings.
- Absence of any student in periodical tests or internal exams or lacking of attendance will be subjected to pay fine as per the policy.
